New air monitoring network for Upper Hunter
October 31, 2011

There are many environmental and industrial factors that contribute to air quality. The mining industry supports the need for more information about air quality in the Upper Hunter. That’s why the industry, along with the region’s power stations, is funding the Upper Hunter Air Quality Monitoring Network.

So far, seven monitors have been switched on and are delivering real-time information which can be accessed by everyone online. All 14 monitors are expected to be launched by the end of 2011.
