NSW Miners build world-class virtual reality training
October 31, 2011

NSW Miners have developed best practice virtual reality training facilities for simulated mining experiences in 360 degree 3D theatres. The training system is accurate and realistic, allowing trainees to experience and respond to real hazards in a safe and controlled environment.

Virtual Reality Training is located in four coal regions in NSW: Wollongong, Lithgow, Singleton and Newcastle.

The 3D theatres provide an unnervingly realistic environment for trainees and veteran miners to learn about how a mine functions or to gain experience operating mine equipment safely.
